The Bug That Bit Him explores a family anecdote—part myth, part memory, part speculation—through text, found footage, and sound. Poetic narration is set against a counterpoint of randomly selected imagery and sound, creating tension between what is told, heard, and seen. Through this interplay, the work examines the ambiguity of the real in what we inherit, remember, and say, suggesting that histories are as much shaped by fiction as by fact.
